While many companies have implemented software distribution, few have taken full advantage of achievable gains by streamlining the software request process.  Veriam’s Software Request Management service utilizes our software request portal to provide your employees with a simple mechanism for requesting software while tracking license utilization.  The service can integrate with any software distribution tool (e.g. Altiris, SMS, etc.) to provide a full service capability.

Veriam's software request portal is a web based application that can integrate with a variety of systems within your environment such as an ITAM system, SLM system, request management system, procurement system, software distribution application, and more.  

The software request portal allows end users to select desired applications and automically forwards electronic approval requests to designated managers who can either approve or deny the request.  Upon approval, the end user is notified and the software request portal can either schedule an automated delivery or notify the ticketing system that an install is required. Additionally, the software license management system is notified to increment the distributed license count and the ITAM system is notified to expect the application to appear on future autodiscovery runs.  Since the software request portal leverages Veriam's advanced workflow technology, the actions that are required at each step can vary from client to client.

Purchased as a managed service, Veriam staff will monitor all activities on the system to ensure proper operation and that all data passing between external systems and the portal is being performed accurately.
