Veriam: Privacy Policy

Veriam collects certain information from both our visitors and customers, the details of which depend upon the level of service being provided to the user.  This Privacy Statement shall dictate and communicate our practices regarding the collection and dissemination of this data.

The Information We Collect:

Visitor Information

Veriam requires visitors who register for access to whitepapers and other protected information to give us contact information such as their name, company name, address, email address, phone number, title, department name, fax number, information about their intended use of our data, annual revenues, number of employees, industry, and other related information.  Registered visitors receive a username and password to give them access to the protected information for a period of time determined by Veriam. 

Veriam uses this information to determine the validity of the request for access to our protected information, to contact visitors to assess their interest in our company and products, to send information about our company and products (and that of our partners), to send a periodic newsletter to the visitor, to send updates regarding the company and our services, and other professional information.  Visitors can opt out of being contacted by us, or receiving such information from us, at any time, by emailing us at support@veriam.com, info@veriam.com, or sales@veriam.com.

Except as explicitly stated at the time the information is requested, or as provided for in this Privacy Policy, or in a legal agreement executed between Veriam and the visitor, we do not disclose any information provided to third parties.

Customer Information

Veriam customers will use the Veriam web site to host data and information related to their organizations, personnel, assets, internet domains, IP addresses, and other entities.  Veriam will not review, share, distribute, print, or reference any such Data except as provided in this Privacy Policy, a Veriam Master Subscription Agreement, or other legal document executed between the parties, or as may be required by law.  Data may be viewed by Veriam employees and consultants for providing the requested service(s), issue resolution, support, analysis, research, or to assess the utilization of the service(s) with respect to any executed agreements.  Further, customer billing information is not used by Veriam for marketing and promotional purposes.  Veriam uses a third party to manage all credit card processing.  This third party is solely a link in the service chain and is not permitted to store, retain, or use the information provided, except for the sole purpose of credit card processing.

Customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of the user account and password information.

At times, Veriam may log non-identifying information in order to help diagnose technical problems, administer the web site, analyze and improve our service(s).  We may also track and analyze non-identifying information regarding usage statistics, usage patterns, received value, and volume statistical information from both visitors and customers.  Such non-identifying information may be aggregated and provided to third parties.

Cookies:

Veriam uses persistent cookies to enhance the experience of both users and customers.  Our cookies to not include personally identifying information, or personal information, with the sole exception of cookies that track user account information, at the request of the user, to facilitate subsequent logins. 

Veriam uses session cookies, containing encrypted information, to allow the site to uniquely identify users while they are logged in to the system and to process user transactions. 

Veriam may, from time to time, engage third parties to track and analyze non-personally identifiable usage and volume statistical information from visitors and customers to help us administer our web site and improve our service(s).  Such cookies will not be used to associate individual visitors or customers to any personally identifying information.  All data collected by such third parties on behalf of Veriam is used only to provide us with information on site usage and is not shared with any other third parties.

Third-Party Sites:

Veriam’s web site contains links to other web sites.  Veriam is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of the other web sites.  Customers and visitors must check the privacy policies of these third-party sites to understand their policies.  Customers and visitors who access a third-party site may be disclosing their private information.  It is the responsibility of the visitor or customer to keep such information private and confidential.

Security:

Veriam’s web site has commercially reasonable security measures in place to help protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the data under our control.  When our web site is accessed using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.5 or higher, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology protects information using both server authentication and data encryption to help ensure that data is safe, secure, and available only to the visitor or customer to whom it belongs.
