Veriam: Software On Demand

Veriam's Self-Service Software Request Portal - Streamline the Software Request Process for Your Employees and Maintain Software Compliance

Many organizations have implemented automated software distribution in an effort to reduce overhead, but have not realized the full potential of their vision.  While automated software distribution assists greatly with pushing patches and updates, often far too many resources are required to perform a software request and installation.

Veriam’s Self-Service Software Request Portal allows organizations to implement an efficient, easy-to-use portal to facilitate the request, authorization, and delivery of a new desktop application.

To request an application the user simply completes a form that is accessible from the company’s intranet or Internet.  The Veriam platform then notifies the authorizing manager that the request has been made, who authorizes, denies, or forwards the request to another approver.

If approved, a license is allocated to the designated individual and cost center, and the license compliance data is updated accordingly.  Additionally, if the organization is using automated software delivery, the Veriam platform can trigger an automated installation of the application directly.  Otherwise, the appropriate party is notified that the installation has been approved.

This simple interface significantly streamlines the request process, and saves valuable time for the IT technicians as well as administrative paperwork that is usually involved with requesting an application.  Most importantly, it can reduce the request cycle time from days to minutes, resulting in a more productive and satisfied user population.

The Self-Service Software Request Portal is integrated with Veriam’s Software License Management Service but can also be used as a separate application.  Please contact us for more details and to discuss how this application can help to realize your software distribution vision.
